I was thinking of who could play whom when the show begins and out of nowhere Ken Page (from Cats, Ain't Misbehavin') popped in my head! I was like that was a perfect match!!! lol If you have any ideas on who could be who, let me know! :)

I had act 2 finished but I lost the jumpdrive that I had it on so I guess I gotta re write it :( I would love to have the whole show finished by March!!!

Alfonso Ribeirto - The original Carlton Banks on the show. He was in The Tap Dance Kid on Broadway.

Janet Hubert - The first and original Vivian Banks on the show (The one I loved). She was in the original Broadway Cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS!

Tatiana Ali - The original Ashley Banks on the show. She was in a Broadway show with James Earl Jones.

Brian Stoke Mitchell - Originally created the role of Trevor on the show. He was in Man of LaMancha, Ragtime the Musical, and Kiss Me Kate (Which he won a Tony)

Charlene Woodard - Original Aunt Janice, Vivian's youngest sister. She was in the original Broadway Cast of Fats Waller's Ain't Misbehavin.

Jenifer Lewis - Original Aunt Helen, Vivian's sassy sister. Was in Hairspray and Dream Girls.

Debby Allen - Director of the first 2 episodes that started it all. She is a Broadway QUEEN! Nuff said! lol

Characters Discriptions (Carlton, Ashley, Geoffrey, Jazz, and Viola)

Carlton Banks- Will's preppy cousin. He's cocky, naive, and a perfectionist. At Princeton, he's the class president and a member of the debate team. He and Will never agree on anything. He is smaller than Will and gets teased for it. He also get teased him for not being "black". Voice: Tenor, high falsetto Classical/R&B

Ashley Banks- Will's youngest(and favorite)cousin. She looks up to Will and often gets into trouble with her parent for imitating him. She is a sweet young girl with a kind heart. Voice: Contralto

Geoffrey- The Banks' British butler. He's lazy, sarcastic, and very sneaky. He hates working for the Banks and often sneaks off to places under an alias (Bootsie Collins)
Voice: Tenor Classical/Blues/R&B

Jazz- Will's dim-witted friend. He lives in Compton. He has a huge crush on Hilary, who hates him. He's always seen with sunglasses (even in low lighted places). He's annoying, rude, and ghetto. Voice: Tenor Hip-Hop/R&B

Viola Smith- Will's very overprotective mother. She's loud, aggressive, and tough. She doesn't back down from anyone. She's very strict with Will and still treats him like he's a child. Voice: Mezzo, belt Blues/R&B

Character Discription (Will, Philip, Vivian, and Hilary)

Will Smith - The lovable street-wise teenager from West Philadelphia. He's very tall and skinny. He's goofy, silly, funny, and somewhat charming. Seems to always get himself into trouble. Always making jokes about Philip's weight and Carlton's height. Voice: Low Baritone, Hip-hop/R&B/Classical.

Philip Banks - Will's uncle by marriage. The larger-than-life Lawyer, with a big heart and an even bigger appetite. Sometimes his happiness turns into rage (whenever Will is around him). He's big, bold, and beautiful. He seems to be well placed, but he can get aggressive when you mess with his family. Voice: Baritone, Gospel/Blues/R&B.

Vivian - Will's lovely aunt. A former college professor. She is sweet, kind and very open minded. She loves to dance and sing. She's always the mind of reason. She can also have an attitude when pushed. Voice: Mezzo, strong belt R&B/Blues/Classical.

Hilary Banks - Will's sexy, but air headed cousin. She is the eldest of the Banks children. She is rude, selfish, conceited, and spoiled. She bosses Ashley and yells at Geoffrey. If things are not about her, she don't care. Voice: Soprano, R&B/Rock/Classical.

The Beginning

Hey Bloggers, It's R. J. again. This blog is for the musical only.

As you know I'm writing the book and lyrics to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". I think that this will be THE musical. I am going to hit so many areas with this musical that hopefully it would somehow change the world.

This is just the beginning. I still need the rights and everything. But I will keep you posted on the progress I'm making.
